Dear Friends;

I am pleased to announce From The Ground Up; a benefit for The Nathan Smith Foundation for the Visual Arts, held on August 16, 2006 at the Vernon Street Studios in Somerville, Massachusetts!

Heather Pilchard will be headlining the event, and her paintings are full of sensual force- they are tremendous.  Joining her are Jason Arledge, who will be showing his striking, soulful work for the first time, and Laurie Mee whose water-inspired prints and mixed media transport the viewer quickly away from the daily and the usual.

These artists are each unique and that is fitting considering we do this in honor of such a unique guy.  I'm grateful for the collaboration.

You simply must come see this work, chill out to the mellow tunes by DJ Midas Touch, and sip some wine with us!  Break up your week a little, enjoy the fine arts, contribute to a great cause.
